It is safe to say that most of us who have been properly isolated is more than likely extremely bored. There is only so much Netflix you can watch, TikToks you can make, and now no more homework. It’s hard to stay inside, especially as teenagers that are used to a routine of going to school, possibly sports practices and Extracurriculars, and hanging out with friends. However, since most of us are stuck inside until the Coronavirus pandemic clears, we should use the access time to our advantage.

Right now is the perfect time to start a new hobby or begin something that you have been procrastinating on. The world is currently experiencing an event that will go in the history books, so picking up hobbies like journaling could be worth it to take account of everything going on. Do not get too wrapped up in the news, but try to stay aware of what is happening during this confusing time. Take breaks from watching shows, walking your dog, or go on a run. It is important to get fresh air and go outside, but limit going far distances as much as possible to avoid the spread of the virus.

A common misconception about social distancing is that it means you have to avoid having interactions with your friends and family members. We can all thank the internet that this is definitely not the case. Reach out to friends via text, call, or FaceTime because we are all in this together and it is essential that we keep in contact, even if it is virtually.
