The movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms marked the start to the holiday spirit of the movies. This is the movie that everyone is talking about around campus. The movie is unlike any other in that it follows a new storyline of the Nutcracker and incorporates parts of dance throughout the movie. It follows the story of a young girl named Clara, whose mother had died and left her with a box, yet no key. Clara goes on a quest to find the key and unlocks a world of fantasy created by her mother. It’s Christmas Eve, and she escapes into this new world to get away from the sadness within her family. She faces many obstacles in the new fantasy world, and she comes to a realization that leaves the audience with a new lesson to learn. This movie is such a great movie that it is recommended for all ages. It was such a perfect movie for the start of the holiday season.
