The highly anticipated telling of rock band Queen’s phenomenal story surely did not disappoint their audiences. Everyone in the theatre was stomp-stomp-clapping to the best of Queen. The movie follows young Freddie Mercury through his life. We see Mercury team up with members from a sinking rock band to form an entirely new, legendary sound. Though a super fan could argue the movie did not show Queen’s true story, casting was the area that needed no improvement. The resemblance between band members Roger Taylor and Brian May’s actors in Bohemian Rhapsody was remarkable. As with any movie that follows real life events, there is going to be some embellishing. But aside from the people who will insist on injustice, the movie was a smashing success. It was inspiring, interesting, and highly recommended to all. Not to mention this movie’s $50 million debut! Critics were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the movie. If you speak with anyone who’s not an occupational critic, the movie was electrifying. Overall, the movie showcased Queen in all its rock and roll glory and plays a big part in remembering the legend of Freddy Mercury.
