In America, baseball is one of the most popular sports to be played here. Many people love playing or watching the game of baseball. One common question always asked about the game is how does a player get hurt? Or what are the most common injuries that occur with the pitcher? Typically, it is most common for a pitcher to be injured more frequently due to the amount of stress developed through the ball throwing motion in the elbow. While pitching many can get hurt in the throwing action in areas such as the shoulder, and elbows. Another common injury occurs when a player scraps up or injures their legs while sliding into a base. The injuries have a greater chance to occur during practices due to how much the athletes are practicing and throwing and sliding to get better at their position. How do the players prepare to protect themselves from injuries? All players should follow an age-appropriate pre-season conditioning program to improve their strength and endurance. Including proper mechanics to use their bodies efficiently to get the most out of all of them. While refraining from throwing a curveball, the pitcher increases the risk of injury because of the amount of stress on the forearm. Also, getting private instruction that is certified to properly teach the young athletes on how to maximize their athletic ability safely while maintaining proper techniques that is ideal for staying healthy. To conclude the athletes should use proper techniques and advantages to maintain a healthy body while playing the game.
