As students begin to approach the SAT, it’s critical that their preparations match the severity of the Exam. The SAT can make the difference between being admitted into an Ivy League college and being admitted into a Cal State University. Here are some helpful tips and tricks for preparing for your SAT’s. The first tip is to access the eight practice tests on the College Board website. These tests will show you the multiple-choice sections of the SAT along with the essay part of the exam. Along with reviewing the practice tests, you should consider taking a SAT prep course in order to be properly tutored in the categories needed in order to succeed. These courses can be a little pricey, but if you can afford them, they will help you tremendously on the exam. If you can’t afford the SAT prep course, a good free substitute is online tutoring from YouTube. A great YouTube channel that can help you with your SAT preparations, along with any other classes that you are struggling with is Khan Academy. They have many qualified tutors on their account that can help show you the subjects to study in order to get the most out of your exam. Rishi Shah, a junior at Chino Hills High School stated, “Khan Academy gave me a way to track my progress and has given me a way to study whenever I have time. I can study at home after I finish my work or when I’m on an exhausting car ride with nothing productive to do.” No matter how you study for the SAT’s, it is important that you do your best. Good luck Huskies and study hard.
