CHHS Student Life Week of 2-25 to 3-1

Howler Staff

Alyssa Gordon, Staff Writer

The end of the school year tends to be the busiest for most students at Chino Hills High. With spring break approaching this month, students are pushing through for a much-needed break. The week of 2/25 to 3/1 had two days that were important and significant to students on campus. Wednesday was a minimum day because of parent-teacher conferences at 6:00 PM that night. Parent-teacher conferences are a great way for parents to talk to their kid’s teachers and learn about their progress in the classroom. It was nice for students to have a minimum day at school because they got to go home early or hang out with friends after school. Having it in the middle of the week was nice because it provided time for students to study for tests and quizzes that would be on Thursday and Friday. Other students went to nearby places to eat and hang out with friends like Starbucks or Dennys. On Thursday, freshman and sophomore students took the PSAT from first to fourth period. While many did not study for the test because it is practice for the actual SAT, others took it seriously so they can improve their scores in the future. For juniors and seniors, the hallways were empty and easier to walk through without the underclassmen attending regular classes. With the minimum day and the PSAT, the week was very eventful for CHHS students and faculty.
