Dating, is it worth it in high school? Now I would unquestionably say yes, dating is overall worth it and I would recommend it to everyone to at least try it out. Now, of course, the main problem is that not anyone can just find someone who they want to date, but when you do, I would recommend it and trying the experience of it. Dating in high school and having other priorities such as extracurricular, homework, and even family responsibilities. This, unfortunately, makes dating an extremely difficult thing to do sometimes, between balancing homework, school, and the person you are dating. And if done wrong this can lead to worsening grades, and arguably even worse, it can lead whoever you are dating to feel neglected and uncared for. Yet if done correctly, you can maintain a high GPA and still have a great relationship with whoever you are dating. As someone with a girlfriend would say that sometimes the hardest part of dating is texting and hanging out on weekends and weekdays. This is so hard because usually for texting after school there is homework and it is hard to simultaneously text and focus on homework, and for hanging out it’s generally hard because we both have homework after school. Overall, it just requires some extra work and everything should go smoothly, my biggest advice is to just not procrastinate and you should have time to do everything during the week and weekends. Amaya Williams a fellow student said that the key to having a relationship and doing well in school is “knowing your own boundaries, and setting them with your partner, and having a conversation of your priorities when it comes to school, and when to hang out, and really just having a mature outlook on it all.” Dating is hard but it’s ultimately worth the effort and time you have to put in for a good and healthy relationship, while still balancing school and other activities or responsibilities.
